The Las Vegas New Mexico Community Foundation (LVNMCF) is getting ready to put on its second annual Chile Challenge, and we need your help.

As you probably remember, the Chile Challenge is an event featuring entertainment, food and pleas for donations to support grants to local nonprofit organizations. This year’s Challenge will be online.

On Friday, November 6, 2020, at 7 p.m. go to our YouTube Channel, enjoy the fun, make a donation, and make a difference.

The program will include

Well known emcees and guest hosts
Local chef/owners and their favorite Chile dishes
Grant recipients showing their projects
Donors and their stories
An Easy to Use Donor Link

The donor link will be available on the Foundation YouTube Channel soon.

Our goal this year is to match and exceed the $15,000 Challenge Donations we have received from community benefactor Leveo Sanchez and an anonymous donor.

The 2020 Grant Cycle is underway. Nonprofit organizations now have until Oct. 31 to submit applications for grants of up to $5,000 each. The grant committee will choose this year’s recipients by Dec, 7. We will announce the recipients in January 2021.

With your help, the Foundation awarded more than $56,000 in the first two grant cycles and this year has awarded more than $11,000 in Emergency Relief grants during the COVID pandemic.

Please help the success of this year’s Chile Challenge, and help make Las Vegas thrive.
