New Year, New You, New Us - And New Grant Opportunities
All of us at the Las Vegas NM Community Foundation, wish you and yours were graced with a Holiday Season filled with warmth, enough food for all, and some bright moments to lift your spirits. As we turn the page on a new year, we’re thrilled to re-announce the launch of a groundbreaking Health and Wellness Initiative for San Miguel and Mora Counties.
The inaugural grant cycle for this initiative will officially open in February 2025, so stay tuned for more details to come. This exciting endeavor, born from a partnership with the Anchorum Health Foundation of Santa Fe, will infuse our communities with a much-needed boost of health and vitality. Thanks to their generous support, we’re poised to invest over $3 million in local programs over the next five years – a beacon of hope as we continue to rebuild and thrive after the devastating fires and floods.
This initiative isn’t just about funding; it’s about sparking a community-wide conversation about what wellness truly means to us. We invite you to join us on this journey of self-discovery and collective action. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing inspiring ideas and practical tips in this very space, the Optic, to help you kickstart or elevate your own health and wellness journey.
We encourage you to engage with us on Facebook at /LasVegasCommunityFoundation and share your own thoughts, challenges, and successes. And if you have opinions you’d like to share more privately, you can email us and we will be sure to add your voice to the collective image we are assembling of critical wellness concerns: health@lvnmcf.org
Your voice matters! We’ll be hosting a series of community conversations where we can come together to identify the most pressing health and wellness needs within our communities. These conversations will help shape the future of this initiative and ensure that the funding we provide truly addresses the unique and current needs of our residents and moves us towards long-term solutions.
Let’s make 2025 the year we prioritize our health and well-being, both individually and as a community.
